Tony's wedding was this weekend. I have been excited for him since he was buying a ring, planning the proposal, booking the cruise, to being engaged, planning his wedding, paying for it, all the while building his new home, dressing it up, paying for it... in hindsight it was wonderful to have witnessed so much of it. His wedding was my first "full" ceremony + dinner, and I think it will always be a special memory. I was so touched that day and the warm happy feeling stayed for a few days now. This has been one of those times when you realize that a friend means more to you than you initially thought. I really didn't imagine that I would be so completely and sincerely happy for him. :)On the other hand Lee has been to so many weddings that she is feeling lonely, from lack of significant other and from losing friends now that they are all starting their own families. I hope I never have to go through that. I remember how hard it was to want a boy as a teenager, it must be much worse to find yourself in the same situation AND pushing 30. :( No matter what I do or don't end up with, I hope never to let self pity get in the way of wishing well and wholeheartedly for others.
